ANTI MINE BOOTS : PPE100 - New Design

The newly designed Anti-Mine boots PPE 100 were developed for mine clearance teams to help protect their personnel from the traumatic damage caused by anti-personnel mines.


The multi-layered composite design, (using proprietary SabreMat® composite technology, developed by Energetics Technology Ltd) reduces the effect of blast and fragments to the feet and legs which reduces the injury significantly.


Knee length gaiters prevent flash burns and limit fragment penetration into the lower legs.

PPE100 Development

Landmines: cheap, indiscriminate and lethal. In 2020, at least 7,073 casualties of mines/ERW (Explosive Remnants of War) were recorded: 2,492 people were killed and 4,561 people were injured. As a result, they remain a deadly problem with minefields present in 54 countries around the world.(Landmine Monitor 2020.)

The PPE100 Anti Mine Boot has been re-engineered and re-introduced due to overwhelming customer demand.

The multi-layered composite design reduces the effect of the blast and fragments on the feet and legs which can reduce the injury significantly. Furthermore, the knee length ballistic gaiters prevent flash burns and limit fragment penetration into the lower legs.

Tested against surrogate anti personnel mines. The blast protected sole includes SABREMATTM which dissipates the blast energy, thus diminishing the fragment hazard. This is sacrificed leaving the upper boot intact and the lightweight, composite inner sole unpenetrated.

Customer testing has shown the outstanding effectiveness of the PPE100 with the best protective performance, comfort and usability of any anti-landmine boot on the market for charges up to 56g C4.
